TIP: Purposeful Packing

After picking the destination one of the most fun aspects of planning a trip is thinking about what to wear! And that also aligns with packing, and the need to be purposeful in that process. This is why we love Kenny Flowers resort wear inspired from top destinations.

This independent resortwear brand puts a fresh spin on Hawaiian shirts, resort looks & swimwear for the whole family. Mixing and matching prints allows opportunity to extend the wardrobe and have it transition all day from beach and activities to dining and more. Kenny Flowers clothing is lightweight, high-quality and made ethically in Bali.

We love that the company is run by husband and wife Kenny & Christina Haisfield, who personally design every product and gather inspiration from vacation destinations they’ve visited around the world. So from the beach clubs of Bali, to dive bars in the Caribbean, to your honeymoon in Santorini and summer weekends in The Hamptons, Kenny Flowers has you covered with upscale, versatile essentials that will stand out at the beach, the five-star resort, the rooftop bar, or your buddy’s backyard BBQ.

TIP: Activities on the Go

The key to any trip is packing a bag of activities. We always love to have some screen-free options. Whether it is on the plane, in the car or at a restaurant, why not bring some of your favorite classics, but travel size! Rubik’s Cube is celebrating its 50th anniversary. This blast to the past is decorated with the original Rubik’s Logo and classic-coloured stickers. The yellow side of the cube has been replaced with a deep gold in celebration of this momentous occasion. Take the famous 3×3 Rubik’s Cube everywhere you go with the Rubik’s Key Ring, this awesome trinket is a fully functioning cube that lets you solve anywhere!

Another fun activity to add to the bag is Etch-A-Sketch Classic. It’s easy to draw with its simple controls, use the left knob to draw lines left and right; the right knob to draw lines up and down; and both knobs to curve the lines or draw on an angle! With endless possibilities you can draw what ever you’d like without the need for power, Wi-Fi, or a pencil! Once you’re finished drawing, just shake to erase and start the fun again. And the Etch A Sketch Pocket has all the creative fun from the Etch-A-Sketch Classic packed down into a portable and easy to travel size! This tiny bundle of creativity will be the perfect addition to the activity bag.

TIP: Fuel Your Adventure

Always carry your reusable water bottle for obvious reasons of staying hydrated but also a great way to keep hot items hot or cold items cold. We love our Yeti water bottles. The Rambler water bottles are double-wall insulated, which means that even if you are sitting by the bonfire and have warm hands, your drink will stay cold. When packing for your adventure, don’t forget to use your Yeti tumbler for multiple purposes. Think fruit, snacks and even soups in your water bottle. We will often pack smoothie ingredients if we know we might not make it to the grocery store right away.

Another must have for your adventure is a soft cooler. Yeti has a variety of sizes from backpack styles to totes and even individual size, they are ideal for keeping snacks/food on trip in your trunk, and also in the hotel room for meal leftover extending refrigerator space. And you can use it when you take a hike or head to the beach for the day too.

TIP: DIY Household Item Hacks

It’s more than just a binder clips! These little household items can be used to close hotel curtains more tightly to give a blackout effect for a better night’s sleep. You can use them to hang your clothes on the balcony so they dry faster but this way they won’t blow away. Of course you can use them to stay organized when it comes to itineraries or passports and paperwork. If didn’t bring enough, the hangers with pant clips can also double for any of these hacks.

Don’t forget a small bag of wipes too… we wipe everything down from the airplane tray to hotel room phone. Don’t forget the remote and other areas that get handled and become a breeding ground for more germs.
